The production of textiles and clothing in Serbia has the long standing tradition, and for many years it has been one of the main export branches of the industry. The production of textiles, clothing and leather participates with 1.0% in the gross domestic product (GDP) of Serbia, and accounts for about 7.1% of the gross value added (GVA) of the manufacturing industry. The Association of Textile, Garment, Leather and Footwear Industries carries out the analysis of economic trends, and proposes measures to improve the working and business conditions of its members.
